  • Can I transfer Miles between my AIR MILES® Cash and Dream Accounts?

    AIR MILES® Reward Miles cannot be transferred between your Cash and Dream accounts. However, you can change your preference as many times as you like.

    Using the preference slider, you can setup or change the deposit ratio for your Miles by moving the slider from 0% - 100% toward either your Cash or Dream Accounts. Once set, future Miles will be added to your accounts the way you want. If you change your mind, simply sign back into airmiles.ca and change the preference slider to a different ratio.   • How far in advance can travel be booked?

    Flights can be booked up to eleven (11) months in advance.

    Each Travel Partner is different and the ability to make a booking is dependent upon when the Partner provides us their availability. Flights must be booked a minimum of 2 days in advance (7 days with some carriers). All travel reservations may be subject to advance booking restrictions and availability.

  • How do I change the information in my profile?

    To make changes to your profile information, you'll first need to sign in with your Collector number and PIN. Once you're all signed in, click on the Your profile drop down menu in the top right hand corner of the screen and select Update profile.

    Once you're on the My Profile page, click any of the blue edit links and make changes to your information!

  • How do I order more AIR MILES Cards?

  • How do I set the Miles preference for my AIR MILES® Cash and Dream Accounts?

    Changing the preference of Miles deposited in your AIR MILES® Cash and Dream Accounts couldn't be easier! Click on the Get Miles tab and select Set your preference.

    Using the preference slider, you can setup or change the deposit preference for your Miles by moving the slider from 0% - 100% toward either your Cash or Dream Accounts. Once set, future Miles will be added to your accounts the way you want. Your preference can be changed as many times as you like and the change will take effect at 3:00am EST the following day.

    Not setting your preference means that, all Miles you get will automatically go into your Dream Account and you won't be able to take advantage of the offers and promotions available with AIR MILES® Cash. For more information or to set your preference, click here.

  • What is an Online Cash Reward and how do I order one?

    An AIR MILES® Online Cash Reward is like a virtual cash coupon, they're great for shopping online or in-store at participating Partners; starting at 95 Cash Miles = $10 you can get up to a maximum of $750 in Online Cash Rewards for yourself or share them with friends and family.

    To order an Online Cash Reward, sign into your profile with your Collector number and PIN - Then click the Get Rewarded tab and select Cash Rewards, scroll down a little and click AIR MILES® Online Cash Rewards.

    Once you've chosen your Online Cash Rewards and completed your order, you will receive two emails; one confirming your order and the other containing your Online Cash Reward. Instructions on how to use your Online Cash Reward will be included in the second email.

  • How do I replace my lost AIR MILES® card ?


    If you don't know your Collector number log onto www.airmiles.ca to retrieve your AIR MILES® Collector number and have it e-mailed to you. Click on 'Sign In' and just under the box for your Collector number click on the blue link Forgot Collector Number. Once you have your Collector number, you can order a replacement Card through our Order Cards self-service option located under the Need Help? tab. It can take about 2-3 weeks to receive your new AIR MILES cards in the mail. Click here to get started!

  • Can I get Miles on my business expenses?

    Absolutely! You can use your AIR MILES® for Business Collector Card for both business and personal shopping. You can also double-dip when you pay for products and services with your AIR MILES® Business Credit Cards from American Express® and Bank of Montreal. This is a great way for you to build up your Cash and Dream Accounts to use Miles on exciting Rewards.

  • I booked multiple travel products with AIR MILES. Can I insure them all under one policy?

    You can select and purchase an insurance policy that suits your needs once you have finished all of your bookings. During this process you can insure the full value of your trip. Conditions, limitations and exclusions apply. More details will be provided on your emailed travel itinerary.

  • I booked a one way flight using Miles but I am staying in the destination for a longer time period. Can I book insurance for my entire trip?

    You can select and purchase an insurance policy that suits your needs after you have finished your booking. During this process you will indicate your extended return date. Conditions, limitations and exclusions apply. More details will be provided on your emailed travel itinerary.

  • How do I update my email preference?

    To update your email address or opt in/opt out of receiving emails you will first need to log onto your profile with your Collector number and PIN. Then select Your profile on the top right hand corner of your screen and click Update profile. To make changes to your email preferences click on the word edit in blue.

    To opt in/opt out of receiving emails check or uncheck the box that states - "Yes, I would like to receive email offers and information from the AIR MILES® Reward Program and its Sponsors. You can change your mind at any time".

  • Can I purchase AIR MILES® Reward Miles?

    Yes. Miles can be purchased in increments of 100 Miles up to a maximum of 2,500 Miles per transaction. A maximum of 10,000 Miles can be purchased in any 12-month period per Dream Account. Applicable taxes, determined by the province listed on the profile will also apply.

    The Miles you purchase will immediately be deposited into your Dream Account; however those Miles cannot be added or transferred towards your Cash Account. There are no refunds on purchased Miles.

    If you would like to purchase Miles through our Customer Care Centre, a $10 service fee will be charged to complete your transaction. To buy Miles online click on the Get Miles tab and select the Buy Miles option from the drop-down menu, or click here and visit the Buy Miles page today!

  • Where can I find out how many Miles I need for a flight?

    If you have an idea of where you'd like to travel, visit our Travel page by clicking on Get Rewarded, Dream Rewards, then select Travel and check out the Flight Search tool. You can also visit our Self-Serve Tools and try our interactive flight map: Where Can I Fly?

    Tip: If the page does not open, try disabling your pop-up blocker or allow pop-ups from airmiles.ca in your browser settings.

  • What does it mean to be a GOLD Collector?

    The AIR MILES GOLD® program was designed to reward Collectors who get 1,000-5,999 miles from January 1 to December 31 each year. As a Gold Collector, you can enjoy great offers for travel and merchandise, like up to 30% off required miles for selected flights, and 50% off the miles required for selected merchandise. Enjoy unforgettable events like being invited to Gold-inspired gatherings and getting free movie passes to select films. There are also exciting contests and giveaways!   • How do I become an AIR MILES GOLD® Collector?

    You can become a Gold Collector by getting 1,000 Miles within one calendar year (January to December). Your Gold benefits will begin the following week until the end of March of the following year.

    Early qualification -If you qualified for Gold before the calendar year ends, your Gold benefits will begin the following week. Gold benefits are tracked through your Card number, so continue using the Card you have.

    For existing Gold Collectors - If you don't re-qualify, continue to use your existing card as your number remains the same. However, you will no longer have your Gold benefits. We do encourage you to aim for 1,000 Miles to re-qualify for the Gold status.

    New and existing Gold Collectors can also order extra cards for family or friends, up to 2 at a time, through our online Self-Serve Tool! While these cards will be blue in color, they will still link to the same profile and help you multiply your power to get Miles.

  • Why is my AIR MILES Card number closed?

    An AIR MILES Card number can appear closed if you have not collected, used, bought or transferred at least one Mile for 24 consecutive months or longer. You can easily reactivate your Card number by visiting any one of our participating Partner locations!

    You also have the option to buy back Miles in increments of 100 for .15 cents per Mile - (100 Miles = $15.00). These Miles are deposited into your Dream Account immediately upon purchase, so you can use them right away.

    Please note that you cannot buy reward miles for your AIR MILES® Cash Account. To learn more, click on Get Miles and select Buy Miles from the drop down menu.

  • How do I become an Onyx™ Collector?

    You can become an Onyx™ Collector by getting 6,000 or more Miles within one calendar year (January to December). Your Onyx benefits will begin the following week until the end of March of the following year.

    For new Onyx Collectors - You'll receive your Onyx Cards in the mail 3-4 weeks after you have qualified; you can begin to enjoy Onyx benefits the following week.

    For Early Qualification - If you qualified for Onyx before the calendar year ends, your Onyx benefits will begin the following week.

    For existing Onyx Collectors -If you don't re-qualify, continue to use your Onyx Collector card until you receive the new Blue cards in the mail. If you do re-qualify at the end of the year, we'll mail you a new Onyx Card with a new expiry date.

  • What is the Personal Shopper Service and how does it work?

    The Personal Shopper Service is a team committed to finding merchandise not available in the Dream Rewards catalogue. This service gives Onyx Collectors the benefit of using their Dream Miles on a wide range of products not seen on airmiles.ca. Whether it's the latest tablet for your daughter's birthday or that designer watch you've had your eye on.

    Onyx Collectors can begin using the service by contact the Customer Care Service Centre at 1-844-399-ONYX or Chat with us live on airmiles.ca.

    Once you've placed the inquiry, a Personal Shopper team member will look into your request and follow-up with a quote for the amount of Dream Miles needed within 5 - 10 business days. There is no extra fee for this Service. Certain exclusions may apply for what can be ordered through the Personal Shopper Service; to view our Terms and Conditions for this service click here.

  • How do I create or reset my PIN?

    To create a PIN for the first time click on Sign In located on the top right corner of your screen and select Forgot PIN / Need Help. From there, just follow the steps to create your new PIN.

    If you've forgotten your PIN and just need to reset it, follow the same steps as outlined above and you'll be able to create a new PIN.

    Tip: For the security of your Cash and Dream Accounts, remember to choose a PIN that you will be able to remember! Try and make it something that is not easy for others to guess like birthdays, phone numbers or simple numbers such as 0000 or 1234.

  • I have not received my order, what should I do?

    If you're looking for information on your Reward we recommend you first have a look at your email inbox. Whenever you use your Miles on a Dream Reward we send you a Thank You confirmation email. Once the Reward leaves our warehouse we send you another email advising Your package has been shipped! This email will come with shipping details like shipping and tracking number for the courier. So, be sure to check your junk mail in case our emails are ending up there. If you have not received your package within 4 weeks, contact us and we will try to locate your package. To get in touch with us, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Contact us!

  • What does "shipping details unavailable" or "Drop Ship" mean?

    These are terms we use at AIR MILES to describe the particular stages of shipping for your Dream Reward. If the shipping details are showing unavailable, this may be there for the following 2 reasons:

    • The Reward has not yet left our warehouse,
    • The Reward has not been shipped by traceable mail (not all of our Merchandise can be tracked).
    Some of our Rewards are not stored or shipped by our merchandise warehouse, so if you see "Drop Ship", this just means that the Reward is being sent directly from the supplier. In either situation, the delivery time for Dream Rewards is typically within 4 weeks.

  • Can I get a new PIN on the mobile site?

    No. Not at this time. You can however reset or get a new PIN online anytime! To get started visit our Self-Serve Tools page by clicking Need Help? located at the top of your page and then Help tools; Reset my PIN is the first option. Whether you forgot your PIN or need a new one, Reset my PIN will take you through steps to getting a new one.

    Quick tip: For the security of your profile, remember to choose a PIN that you will be able to remember! Make sure that your PIN is not easy for others to guess like birthdays, phone numbers or simple numbers such as 0000 or 1234.

  • Can I book flights that originate outside of Canada?

    Absolutely! Flights originating in the US can be booked, so long as the destination is in Canada. Flights between two cities in the US are not offered through the AIR MILES Reward Program.
