Approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $7,550 CDN.
Confirmed winner must make his/her booking request for travel to AIR MILES Travel Services, at least 30 days prior to the anticipated date of departure, failing which AIR MILES may not accept the reservation and the Grand Prize may be deemed void. Reservation must be confirmed by December 7, 2013 and travel must depart no later than January 6, 2014. Prize is subject to space available and blackouts do apply on certain dates. No changes or extensions will be made. Further conditions may apply. The confirmed winner and his/her travel companion must travel together on the same dates.
Customs duties, surcharges, medical, travel or insurance charges, travel documentation and anything else not specifically listed as being part of the Grand Prize are not included in the prize. All personal expenses are the responsibility of the confirmed winner and his/her travel companion. Contest Sponsor and Sandals Resorts shall assume no responsibility of any nature whatsoever for any postponement, delay or cancellation of the trip or any other component of the packages or of any other transportation which is part of the Grand Prize for any reasons whatsoever, including, but not limited to, weather conditions, equipment breakdown or failure. Once booked, tour arrangement may not be changed by the confirmed winner. Certain blackout dates and restrictions may apply.
The Grand Prize offered must be accepted as offered and is not exchangeable, refundable, transferable or convertible into cash. No compensation will be provided if a confirmed winner fails to claim the Grand Prize awarded. The confirmed winner and his/her travel companion shall respect the validity dates of the promotion.
The confirmed winner and his/her travel companion must have the legal right to leave Canada and to return to Canada and must have the legal right to enter and leave the destination country to which they are bound. They are fully responsible for obtaining, at their own expenses, all documentation necessary for the trip as required by the authorities concerned, including, but not limited to, visas, passports, vaccinations and certificates. These shall be obtained before departure. The confirmed winner and his/her travel companion shall comply with the contest validity dates and accept the alternatives proposed by AIR MILES Travel Services, if this proves necessary. No extension of stay will be permitted. Contest Sponsor reserves the right to offer a comparable Grand Prize for any reason, including if a program is cancelled in the case of force majeure or in the case of any other irresistible and unforeseeable circumstances.
It is strongly recommended that travel insurance be purchased by the winner and his/her travel companion at time of reservation as a measure of added protection.
All travel documentation that may be required (visa, passports, etc.) are the confirmed winner’s and his/her travel companion’s responsibility and must be obtained prior to departure. Passports for all travellers must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of departure.

The chance of winning the Grand Prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
Winner Selection: A random drawing for the Grand Prize will be held on January 9, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. in Toronto, Ontario, from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period, by an independent judging organization whose decisions will be final and binding. In order to be declared a confirmed winner, selected entrant must be an AIR MILES Gold Collector, correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered at a pre-arranged time by telephone and otherwise comply with the Official Contest Rules. The Contest Sponsor or its representatives will make reasonable attempts to contact the selected entrant at the telephone number(s) recorded in respect of his/her Collector Account Number, failing which, the Grand Prize will be forfeited and an alternate entrant will be randomly selected. Selected entrant must sign and return to the Contest Sponsor within 10 days of receipt a Prize Acknowledgement and Release Form, which includes a standard declaration of compliance with the Official Contest Rules and release form in order to be awarded the Grand Prize. Failure to sign and return the Prize Acknowledgement Form within 10 days of receipt will result in forfeiture of the Grand Prize and selection of another entrant. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted or has not responded within two weeks of the date when the contact was first attempted or does not otherwise comply with the Contest rules, the selected entrant will forfeit the Grand Prize and another entrant will be selected. Traveling companion of the confirmed Grand Prize winner (and his/her parent or legal guardian if traveling companion is under the age of majority) must also sign a release to participate in the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize will be delivered to the confirmed winner within six to eight weeks after the random drawing.
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right to use the confirmed winner’s and his/her travel companion’s name, city/province or territory of residence, likeness and/or photograph, voice and statements without compensation, in connection with any advertising and publicity in relation to the Contest, in any media throughout the world in perpetuity.
For Québec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools des courses et des jeux (“RACJ”) for a ruling. For Québec residents, any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the RACJ only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
Subject to the jurisdiction in Québec of the Québec RACJ, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a Prize with one of equal or greater value, to cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest and to amend the Contest without prior notice at any time and for any reason including without limitation, if viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, attempts to disrupt the Contest or other causes beyond the Contest Sponsor’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the Contest.
The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any technical, hardware, software or telephone failures of any kind, or lost or unavailable network connections or garbled or deleted computer network transmissions, or failed, incomplete, garbled, misdirected or lost entries or inaccurate capture of entry information or inaccurate posting of number of entries an entrant may have, even if it limits the ability to participate in the Contest. Any entry that occurs after a system failure is deemed a defective entry and is void and will not be honored. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any injury or damage to persons or property arising from the Contest or any prize, or which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from accessing or transmitting any material from the Site or www.airmiles.ca, regardless of whether the material was prepared by the Contest Sponsor or a third party or is connected to the Site by hyperlink. All entries must be received during the Contest Period. All entries and prize claims are subject to verification by Contest Sponsor and will be void if not obtained by legitimate channels, or if not original, or if obtained other than in compliance with these Official Rules. The Contest Sponsor will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its verification process. Proof of sending any portion of an entry or claim is not proof of receipt. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be returned.
Online entries must be made only by the original, manual keystrokes of the individual entrant. Use of any automated system including robotic or form filling software to enter or participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification of all entries by anyone using such assistance.
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Contest Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Contest Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
The Contest Sponsor uses your AIR MILES Collector Account number to validate and update your Collector Account and to track entry into this Contest.
The Contest is subject to all applicable laws.
The name of the confirmed winner may be obtained by sending a request with a self-addressed postage stamped envelope to AIR MILES Gold Goes Jamaica Contest, Attention: Segment Marketing, 438 University Avenue, Suite 600, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2L1 until June 1, 2013. The name of confirmed winner may also be posted on www.airmiles.ca.
